Descent: Journeys in the Dark (2nd Ed) Review Posted by Roundtable Writers on Jun 22, 2016 Fantasy Flight Games has just released an app for mobile devices called Descent: Road to Legend that I think could be revolutionary and not just in terms of re-invigorating sales of the Descent product line. Extras: Heirs of Blood Campaign Book. You also get a Rumor Card and two Quests that you can integrate into a Full Campaign and usually an OL Card that he can win as a reward. Another bad habit of mine, assuming the sticky is a welcome or a stat gatherer or some such, (most of the other FFG forums it is one or the other). We play with teenagers so it's great for them too! Descent Journeys in the Dark is a dungeon crawler board game. Also, the Hero and Monster expansions. One of the few knocks against Descent: Journeys in the Dark is that it’s not really a cooperative game, that one player has to work against their friends as Overlord, controlling the dungeon’s monsters and inner workings. Manor of Ravens is also another Small Box Expansion. However with the upcoming The Chains That Rust   it will be combined to form one large full campaign.

Much of the gameplay for Road to Legend is the same as it is in the core game. He must gain threat to spend on buying  and using the cards.

The added gold would be necessary for the heroes and all overlord cards gained are pretty cool to play. Descent Journeys in the Dark is a dungeon crawler board game. This is mainly because I adds an extra aspect of gameplay for the Overlord relatively early on. And i will finish with the last small boxes : Ruins and Chains due to the difficulty of quests and game play with these bloddy tainted cards that were intended to make life miserable for heroes.

I can't believe I been playing it all this time when this half the price, what a waste! One cool monster : plagueworm. Additionnaly you may want to upload Road to Legend app, to have some coop experience (forget about the coop expansions they are not useful anymore ). You play the big box campaign and play one of the rumor quests from the small box, Shadow of Nerekhall works well thematically with Manor of Ravens, Shadow Rune/Heirs of Blood with Lair of the Wyrm, i'm in the UK and am finding it really difficult to locate some of the earlier expansions like Lair of the wyrm, and Trolfens, anyone have any siggestions where i can pick these up, ebay and amazon have a few but they are overseas and shipping is a lot, You have a local game store you can order from?

Road to Legend is a companion app for the Descent: Journeys in the Dark 2nd edition board game. The box sets provide the most for everyone bang for the buck. Again reaserch the ones you want and you're golden. Get 1e, it is such a better experience. Fingers crossed for more box expansions!!!

But if you're looking for something specifically: Big Box Expansions - Adds a whole new 2 Act Main Campaign that you can choose to play through rather then the Core Game campaign ( Shadow Rune or Heirs of Blood.) There are significant changes, but overall, the game moves towards long term playability through shorter quests and fewer "stuff" to worry about. This is amazing.
