Brennan is an RN and CNM who was raised in Little Rock and Southern California. She is thrilled to be back in her home state of Arkansas providing midwifery care. She graduated with a BA in History from Carleton College in 2007 and lived in Oakland, CA for several years where she developed a love for teaching yoga and providing doula services. She was a doula for 3 years in the Bay Area and helped to start the non-profit organization The Birth Justice Project, which provides doula services to women who are incarcerated or in recovery from addiction. In 2013 she moved to Nashville, TN to pursue her RN licensure and Masters in Nurse-Midwifery.
At the end of her Masters program, Brennan was thrilled to be placed at BCNWA in the fall of 2015, where her love for providing one-on-one labor support was rekindled. After graduating in December of 2015, she accepted a position here and moved back to Arkansas to start practice. Brennan sees it as her job as a midwife to create a space in which a pregnant mother and loved ones can safely learn about and experience the transformative processes of pregnancy, labor and delivery. In a way, she imagines herself as tour guide through the birth terrain.
In her free time, Brennan enjoys cooking (not baking), taking Zumba and Yoga classes, spending time outdoors and hanging out with friends. She is glad to be close to her family and friends in central Arkansas and is looking forward to falling in love with the northwest region of the natural state.
